Building a Le Hyphy using all new technology.

3/27/18 - collected Frame, FC, and ESC's so far. I have the Motors and camera on the way.

3/30/18 - Motors and camera arrived but the little gummies I bought to hold the camera will not fit the Hyphy standoffs. they're too far apart and hexagonal. The Whocares cam does not come with a mounting solution or an OSD toggle. I'm going to steal the Runcam Swift mount that am using on my 3 inch and use the gummies on it. The Samguk motors look great and come with a little story about Chinese history inside the boxes. I'm hype about the whole Three Kingdoms story so reading a tale in badly translated Chinese is right up my alley. The Samguks come with five 6mm long M2.5screws and two extra "C clips". The motor wires are super long and I feel like an idiot having to cut so much of them off for dang ARM escs. I have 2 of the 4 motors soldered to the pads but they're pretty thick wires. I may go back to the chisel tip for the other 2 and maybe redo the first two. The ESCs from Amazon have a Telemetry pad but you have to solder your own wire into it. That means cutting off the Heat Shrink and then finding a new solution. That's not my strong point. I wrapped the arms with E-Tape and covered the completed ESCs with black shrink. i'll eventually be using zips to hold them down.

04/02/18 - Ordered the Mach1 VTX from RDQ along with some blue 5046 props.

10/28/18 - SOLD to Siderala

AirbladeUAV has done it again and this time they've brought long range to the 5" class! Based on the popular Transformer Mini, the new Transformer 5" Ultralight adopts a lot of the same design philosophies with larger props and more payload capacity. It can fly upwards of 20 minutes on a 4 cell Li-Ion battery pack and in ideal conditions it's got a range of over 4 to 5 miles. In this guide I'll walk..

With the release of the DJI FPV Drone cinematic FPV has become a lot more accessible, but you certainly don't want to crash a $750 drone! The QAV-CINE Freybott is a compact, lightweight cinematic FPV drone that can take a hit and keep going. It's a lot safer to fly indoors and around people. With a naked GoPro or the SMO 4k you can capture some great stabilized footage. In this guide I'll show you..
