100+ for Brad

My neighbor wants to build a 100+ beast. We got this MRM reaper frame and some arms that were mis-printed to mod it for super-lightweight and up to 6" props (thanks to the idea of another neighbor, thanks Gary). 6mm arms but super light, trimmed top plate for lower TPU antenna mount. The goal is to get over 100 so right now looking at Emax RS, F40 Pro II, or Hypetrain Freestyle motors based on benchmarks, love to hear input on motors though!
UPDaTE: in the end he opted for different Motors, props, and Battery to save some time, so I'm not sure if it will hit the target speeds but it sure is pretty and flies super smooth!

A high Kv motor, and a steep pitch/lighweight prop, combined with low drag are what you need for speed. You have most of it, get some agressive 2 blade props and a 2600~3000Kv set of motors

Yeah, my suggestion was APC 5.2x5 biblades and a couple motors we found that would make use of the 50A to produce nearly 2k grams of thrust per motor. This thing WITH battery came in under 400g! 20/1 if we had those motors. In the end he opted for saving time and money but maybe the speed bug will still get him down the road. ;)

AirbladeUAV has done it again and this time they've brought long range to the 5" class! Based on the popular Transformer Mini, the new Transformer 5" Ultralight adopts a lot of the same design philosophies with larger props and more payload capacity. It can fly upwards of 20 minutes on a 4 cell Li-Ion battery pack and in ideal conditions it's got a range of over 4 to 5 miles. In this guide I'll walk..

With the release of the DJI FPV Drone cinematic FPV has become a lot more accessible, but you certainly don't want to crash a $750 drone! The QAV-CINE Freybott is a compact, lightweight cinematic FPV drone that can take a hit and keep going. It's a lot safer to fly indoors and around people. With a naked GoPro or the SMO 4k you can capture some great stabilized footage. In this guide I'll show you..
