Falcon Multirotors & friends have done it again. This frame is great, it came together nicely, and was kinda "refreshing" to build (if that makes sense?). I built it with the included 20mm standoffs to give some of my chosen components extra breathing room. I'm trying out some slippery Butterflight on these 7" hq v1s triblades to see if we can avoid some of the 7" jello that seems to be going around. First build with Crossfire, why did I wait this long?, first build using Dshot1200. Used every UART on the board: Serial RX, GPS, MSP over crossfire (haven't gotten it to connect in the configurator yet though :sigh:), compass (i2c), camera control (S6 remapped), 32bit ESC telem, and smart audio. I've been a long time user of OSDs and I love all the new configuration/integration options that have been added recently via betaflight osd, pretty much only need to take my goggles off to change packs.
All weighed up (w/ session & battery) she comes in at a full-figured 704g. but gets off the ground at only 15% throttle, not bad considering.
Super happy with the way this flies, getting ~12 minutes on a CNHL 1500 (with ~300mAh still left in the pack) while doing some park cruising, low & slow, tree dodging, and the occasional trick tossed in.
i kept my rates way down on this build (stock rates) as the goal was cruising, and I really liked it, nice smooth inputs yeilded very nice smooth outputs inches off the feild. I was originally afraid of the camera position but I really liked having it low in the frame, it made trimming the grass real easy and the props were high enough in the view that they really didnt bother me as much as I thought they would.
It was pretty windy during my mainden, 14+mph gusts, but this build for its size handled it well, from the pilots seat you could tell it was gusty but it didnt require much corection/extra throttle. I'm excited to get this out more often
rescue mode
gets merged into betaflight and maybe then into the butterDang, now I want one of thoes....

Nice build. How did you wire the 4-in-1 ESC with the Matek FC? Thanks!
Joshua Bardwell has a good video on how to connect a 4in1 to a FC with a current sensor. I used that as a guide. if you have a more specific question let me know.
Hey, we have almost the same build! How's your return to home arrow working? Mine doesn't seem too accurate
Yes, Diego's works exactly like I would expect. I've been talking to some people who think it might be an orientation issue. You need to set the orienation in BF of that sensor different from your FC's alignment since it's not part of the FC and the documentation on which is the default front and top is sketchy.
ya know i did wonder about this when building! b/c the gps is rotated (backwards I think) AND at a weird angle compared to the FC. also the mag might be upside down on the bn880? but since I hadnt installed it yet I completely forgot to look this up ... great catch! The best
documentation I've seen for my gps is the 5th image on [RTFQ's production page](http://www.readytoflyquads.com/mini-ublox-m8n-gps-w-35x35mm-mounting-backplane-and-compass# ) let me know how yours works out!
You have a different GPS than I do so this might not work the same for you but after reading up on it I am going to try 180 + flip to see if that works better for me. I think my wires should be at the back of the quad normally (thus the 180) and the flip because like you mentioned, the compass is on the bottom. Let me know how it goes on your end!
AirbladeUAV has done it again and this time they've brought long range to the 5" class! Based on the popular Transformer Mini, the new Transformer 5" Ultralight adopts a lot of the same design philosophies with larger props and more payload capacity. It can fly upwards of 20 minutes on a 4 cell Li-Ion battery pack and in ideal conditions it's got a range of over 4 to 5 miles. In this guide I'll walk..

The QAV-CINE Freybott is a compact, lightweight cinematic FPV drone that can take a hit and keep going. It's a lot safer to fly indoors and around people. With a naked GoPro or the SMO 4k you can capture some great stabilized footage. In this guide I'll show you..
