I purchased the components to build the XHover Win5L with the same parts as the BNF that XHover sells, with my customization - I used a RunCam Split Mini. It was never going to fit without raising the roof by 7mm. I used M3 x 35mm standoffs in the rear to replace the original 28mm standoffs. On the front I added M3 x 7mm standoffs to raise the bottom of the 3D printed canopy. It was a very tight fit and could have used another millimeter or two. I mounted the stack as follows: FrSky R-SXR over HGLRC TX20, over the two RunCam Split Mini PCB's, over the HGLRC XJB F4 Flight Controller, over the 4-in-1 40amp HGLRC ESC. I test flew on 4/22/18 and it is fast. I am trying out the HQ V1S 5x4.3x3 props and they are very responsive. I had to melt the 3D printed canopy a little to allow the camera to rotate down for a lower camera angle - stock 3D printed canopy camera angle starts at about 30 degrees. The XHover 2307 - 2500 kV motors are very smoth and strong - I believe T-Motor makes the motors. All-up weight ready to fly is 297grams w/o battery. The big motors are a little heavy at 37g, but they are powerful! I was able to get over 5 mins on a 1550 R-Line with a lot of powering around, a few punch-outs, and mostly freestyle flying. The frame's fit and finish was excellent, and is very stiff. Overall this was a very enjoyable build for my 3rd quad. XHover's customer services was excellent, I would definately recommend them and their frames.
AirbladeUAV has done it again and this time they've brought long range to the 5" class! Based on the popular Transformer Mini, the new Transformer 5" Ultralight adopts a lot of the same design philosophies with larger props and more payload capacity. It can fly upwards of 20 minutes on a 4 cell Li-Ion battery pack and in ideal conditions it's got a range of over 4 to 5 miles. In this guide I'll walk..

The QAV-CINE Freybott is a compact, lightweight cinematic FPV drone that can take a hit and keep going. It's a lot safer to fly indoors and around people. With a naked GoPro or the SMO 4k you can capture some great stabilized footage. In this guide I'll show you..

Wow, that is outstanding. Why do you want your cam tilted down so much? Love the motor/motor wire/canopy skinergy
Thank you for the like. I do think the gray wires and canopy make for ae a cool subtle contrast against the CF.
I am fairly new to flying quads - 3 months, so I am still getting used to higher camera angles and want the option to start lower and work my way up.. Flying at higher camera angles is fine but In still getting used to landing without seeing as much of the ground.
Word, I should have assumed as much. I remember transitioning to a cam angle where I couldn't see the ground. That's definitly the stage AFTER you learn to land FPV with 0 tilt
So, to come back now, 30 -35 degrees is normal now for me.. Landing is still hard, looking at horizon at the bottom of the goggles, curve in and do a 180 trurn, and disarm at 12" above my feet, most times. This edit is me getting the feel of speed down low..
