HYPERLITE FLOSS II 6" with RUNCAM SPLIT 2

My first 6" build, designed for range and longer flight time (easy@5 mins) . Range is limited by the VTX003 but the flight time is awesome so far, I think I can stretch it to about 6-7 mins. Still tuning and making adjustments on the build to reduce video noise (ESR CAP) and vibrations (softmount). The motors spins up real nice and by far the best sounding of all my quads. RUNCAM SPLIT 2 work like a champ, no issues.

If you're looking for something with long range/flight time....

Did you connect the split 2 power and ground to the 5v off of the board or to the battery leads directly? I am planning a similar build and the BEC on the AIO FC should be able to handle the VTX, split 2, Rx, and LED board but I wanted to check with other builds.

I did a few variations to get power to the Split 2 - direct to the battery, 5v from the board and 5v Pololu to see which one had least amount of video noise. They all had some noise when you punched it so I added a cap and connected the split direct to the battery.

I use both Split 2 and Split Mini, easy to install and only issues I have is video noise on some FC/ESC combos and jello. ESR capacitor, shortening cables, ground management and tuning seems to solve the issues. Latency? Maybe there is but I can't tell the difference, seems the same as flying with my other Runcam Swift or Foxeer camera quads. I'm more concerned about my own latency between the eye/brain/finger combo, it's real for all my quads.

How do you like flying with the split? is it a good flight experience? I have been on the fence about that system for months. So many reviewers complain about the latency, but people will complain about anything, is it real?

AirbladeUAV has done it again and this time they've brought long range to the 5" class! Based on the popular Transformer Mini, the new Transformer 5" Ultralight adopts a lot of the same design philosophies with larger props and more payload capacity. It can fly upwards of 20 minutes on a 4 cell Li-Ion battery pack and in ideal conditions it's got a range of over 4 to 5 miles. In this guide I'll walk..

With the release of the DJI FPV Drone cinematic FPV has become a lot more accessible, but you certainly don't want to crash a $750 drone! The QAV-CINE Freybott is a compact, lightweight cinematic FPV drone that can take a hit and keep going. It's a lot safer to fly indoors and around people. With a naked GoPro or the SMO 4k you can capture some great stabilized footage. In this guide I'll show you..
