This is my first build ever! I did it over the course of a few weeks for a school project. If you have any comments or questions I am here to respond.

Below I have documented the parts and process with as much detail as possible.

Parts not Included: Female XT60 cable, Soldering Iron & Solder, Hex-Screwdriver, Nylon Stand-offs/Screws & Rubber Gaskets

PROCESS
Total time: 29 Hours

3/24/18 - (1 Hour) – I talked with an experienced flyer of model planes and quads over the phone. We discussed my plans, the overall project, and my end goals. We also discusses safety and legal issues and things to be aware of.

4/5/18 - 5/5/18 – (20 Hours) – I spent a lot of time on forums, websites, and especially Youtube, reading and watching videos to learn as much as possible. I slowly built my component list, making sure that all the parts would fit together inside by build and that they were all high quality parts, while mantaining a lower budget.

5/7/18 – (2 Hours) – I set up a table to work on. I tested my soldering iron and somewhat learned how to use it. This ended up being one of my biggest challenges, as soldering took a long time and I had to deal with and fix faulty/poor joints later. By this date all my parts had arrived. I unboxed them, making sure they were all in proper shape. I unboxed and set up my FPV goggles.

5/8/18 - (6 1/2 Hours) - This was my first day of building. I woke up and got straight to work. I ended up sitting at my desk way longer than I had expected, especially since I was just beginning. I had a lot of fun and made a lot of progress. I soldered the four motors to their perspective ESC's (electronic speed controller). This was my first time working with a soldering iron so it took some getting used to and a little trial and error. I also connected the postive and negative wires from the ESCs to the FC (flight controller).

AirbladeUAV has done it again and this time they've brought long range to the 5" class! Based on the popular Transformer Mini, the new Transformer 5" Ultralight adopts a lot of the same design philosophies with larger props and more payload capacity. It can fly upwards of 20 minutes on a 4 cell Li-Ion battery pack and in ideal conditions it's got a range of over 4 to 5 miles. In this guide I'll walk..

With the release of the DJI FPV Drone cinematic FPV has become a lot more accessible, but you certainly don't want to crash a $750 drone! The QAV-CINE Freybott is a compact, lightweight cinematic FPV drone that can take a hit and keep going. It's a lot safer to fly indoors and around people. With a naked GoPro or the SMO 4k you can capture some great stabilized footage. In this guide I'll show you..
