My latest build based on a PyroflipRC FlossStyle frame.
it's a quite complicated build as the main plate have 20 cm standoffs. So basically you can go with 20x20 flight components side by side or you can fit a normal size stack (4 in 1 esc + FC) but you have to make sure to keep it low profile. A micro format FPV camera is also mandatory.
I used the KakuteF4v2 which is quite tall as a FC. So I designed and printed custom TPU standoffs for the stack (3mm and 4mm) in order to keep it as low as possible.
I also designed and printed a custom gopro session mount and a rear plate for the VTX.
The finished quad looks very compact and solid.

Hey very nice build man! I plan to do the same (frame and stack).
Is there enough room for the ribbon cable of the gyro not to be damaged by the straps? I was planning to add some protection for it (3D printed or additional PCB plate thingy on top). Hope there's enough space.
Is it copper tape I see on the ESCs? I didn't get that with mine. I think I'll add some myself.
Oh and finally: How does it fly? Compared to your other rigs (like the Astrox X5)? Are you getting more vibrations?
Thanks ;)
what is the cloth material around the capacitor and other areas for -- electrical noise, physical damage? does the mesh tube around the wires offer enough protection to stop a prop from cutting the wires? (excuse me for being NOOB)
hi, the cloth material is textile tape. seems that it´s mainly used for autmotive wire harnesses. main purpose here is to prevent physical damage, things coming on solders, etc.
for the braid on the wires it theoretically provide some protection but wouldn´t bet on that. i´d like to use some so called "race wire" but those are sold out in most of my favorite shops :(
AirbladeUAV has done it again and this time they've brought long range to the 5" class! Based on the popular Transformer Mini, the new Transformer 5" Ultralight adopts a lot of the same design philosophies with larger props and more payload capacity. It can fly upwards of 20 minutes on a 4 cell Li-Ion battery pack and in ideal conditions it's got a range of over 4 to 5 miles. In this guide I'll walk..

The QAV-CINE Freybott is a compact, lightweight cinematic FPV drone that can take a hit and keep going. It's a lot safer to fly indoors and around people. With a naked GoPro or the SMO 4k you can capture some great stabilized footage. In this guide I'll show you..

I tried to get my Eagle Cam to fit. I can get it, but then I would have no tilt.
