I specked this build out while in Afghanistan during the summer of 2018. The goal here is to build a beast of a race quad that can be multipurpose. One quad for freestyle and for racing. Time will tell if I hit the mark.
All 3d printed parts were printed on my Creality CR-10 in Sainsmart blue TPU.
The Diatone 2018 GT is a FAST frame (especially the stretched version). I have 2, and unfortunately due to a substandard battery strap) I lost power in the midst of a high G turn and tore one all to hell. Im in the midst of rebuilding it (hey now I can do it the right way now that I've built quite a few more). I think you'll find that the 6MM arms are just about the strongest you'll find on a quad. The hinged canopy makes working on these a breeze and really they build quite easily. The 3 inch version is also fantabulous!
You still flying your GT?
I did get the one with F60 Pro II's back in action, and yep I still rip it (But not the one with the X-Foot's... Those motors I cannot replace and still kick myself twice a day for not buying a few sets of). Since it has been such a terrible winter here I haven't been flying much at all as of late, but I was flying my GT at least 10 packs a week at the end of the summer. I flew the 3" last week... those 14XX Cobras are to die for. I still run 3.5.7 on all 3 of 'em and just haven't got to update them yet (I only just learned to love 4.1+ a couple months ago). How you liking yours?
