Time for a rebuild!
AirbladeUAV has done it again and this time they've brought long range to the 5" class! Based on the popular Transformer Mini, the new Transformer 5" Ultralight adopts a lot of the same design philosophies with larger props and more payload capacity. It can fly upwards of 20 minutes on a 4 cell Li-Ion battery pack and in ideal conditions it's got a range of over 4 to 5 miles. In this guide I'll walk..

Killer setup. Those are some quality parts! Since you are using flysky though let me make a suggestion. I'd reccomend using the fs-rx2a pro v1 reciever. it weighs less than a gram and has 500m range. it's not as good as some of the frsky stuff, but its the best micro flysky reciever I've come across. Its also cheaper than the a8s and saves a little weight and space
I have one of the RX2A on a whoop-ish build. 500m range is not possible on it in my testing - I was able to get about 75m before it started losing signal. With the A8S wrapped in foil, it brings the weight up to 1.4g, but I've not had any issues up to about 300m, I've not tested it beyond that. Thank you though :)
No t the rx2a, that ones no good. Im talking about the rx2a pro v1. They look similar but the rx2a pro v1 has 5 times the range.
Ah, gotcha. Does it need to be foil wrapped like the A8S?
