Decided to build a 3" quad for a couple of reasons. First, it seems like the 3" builds are becoming very popular and I was curious to check it out and second, my 2.5" is fun to fly but too floaty because it's so light. This will give me the best of both worlds, I hope. Did a quick hover/punch out test with an uncharged battery for my 2.5" (450mah 3s) and the 650mah 4s batteries for this build should be here today so I can do a proper test. I'll update once I have finalized my power connector (need to see the best way for it with the correct battery so I left it long) and do a proper maiden flight. Also need to see what prop works best with it so I have 3 to try. I think this will be a kick ass quad to fly.
nice build! wich battery do you use? 650 mah or 850 ?? and what is your flight time??
AirbladeUAV has done it again and this time they've brought long range to the 5" class! Based on the popular Transformer Mini, the new Transformer 5" Ultralight adopts a lot of the same design philosophies with larger props and more payload capacity. It can fly upwards of 20 minutes on a 4 cell Li-Ion battery pack and in ideal conditions it's got a range of over 4 to 5 miles. In this guide I'll walk..
