I built three of these (one for a friend) and use them for freestyle.
Photos show the original build, I have since moved the receiver antennas between the arms and replaced the Aomway FPV antenna with a shorter one.
The Avan props are nice, relatively quiet and deliver a lot of power (and amp draw) but the cannot be bent back after a crash so I am using Dalprop Cyclones instead. After upgrading to Betaflight 3.3 I switched to reverse props (spinning to the outside).
I have filed down the edges or the arms and put some CA glue on the sides to increase resistance against delamination on crashes.
The PDB was part of an FC+PDB bundle which was inexpensive. I spent a lot of time trying to get FrSky telemetry to work on a UART but could never get it to work. I instead use softserial on the Motor 5 pin.
I managed to bend the frame after falling out of the sky after a failsafe. It still flies well so I did not bother trying to bend it back. I had to replace the FPV antenna mount and use a 3D printed part now that fits the TBS pigtail.

It can fly upwards of 20 minutes on a 4 cell Li-Ion battery pack and in ideal conditions it's got a range of over 4 to 5 miles. In this guide I'll walk..

With the release of the DJI FPV Drone cinematic FPV has become a lot more accessible, but you certainly don't want to crash a $750 drone! The QAV-CINE Freybott is a compact, lightweight cinematic FPV drone that can take a hit and keep going. It's a lot safer to fly indoors and around people. With a naked GoPro or the SMO 4k you can capture some great stabilized footage. In this guide I'll show you..
