This is my first build. Went with the chameleon frame because of many good reviews and i like the wide field of veiw. The camera protector works well also since i have had some gnarly hitshits while learning. I arbitrarily went with the kiss/lumeneir fc/esc/motor combo from flight test because it was cheep. I will definitely go with beefier motors when these go. The kiss suite is super easy to set up and i like the way it flies and i went with the kiss piggy osd because it just pligs in and works with no flashing or programmprogramming needed. Of course i have a unify hv because it has great image quality and range. I have a generic 600mw vtx on my fixed wing and the color is all off. Unify is definitely worth the extra 20 bucks. I started out with slower props bit now that i have the throttle control down, i have moved to the gatebreakers. At first i would over correct with them but now i feel much more in control with the 5053x3s. Overall i am verry happy with my first build and i am greatful to be able to have fpv racing quads in my life. I used to go fast on bikes and skateboards and get hurt but now i can haul ass with no bodily risk.

I like everything except the battery connector. I'm a fan of a silicone wire pigtail ziptied to the frame for stress relief. I just hate the idea of snapping the PDB in a crash if the battery gets ejected at the wrong angle.

Looking good though. Glad you're enjoying your first build!

There's actually a short length of wire connecting the XT60 to the PDB so it's rather hard to break it in a crash.

I "liked" your build because you bought an actual Armattan frame and not a Chinese knockoff.

AirbladeUAV has done it again and this time they've brought long range to the 5" class! Based on the popular Transformer Mini, the new Transformer 5" Ultralight adopts a lot of the same design philosophies with larger props and more payload capacity. It can fly upwards of 20 minutes on a 4 cell Li-Ion battery pack and in ideal conditions it's got a range of over 4 to 5 miles. In this guide I'll walk..

With the release of the DJI FPV Drone cinematic FPV has become a lot more accessible, but you certainly don't want to crash a $750 drone! The QAV-CINE Freybott is a compact, lightweight cinematic FPV drone that can take a hit and keep going. It's a lot safer to fly indoors and around people. With a naked GoPro or the SMO 4k you can capture some great stabilized footage. In this guide I'll show you..
