This is a super cool frame, extremely compact and solid. Injection molded stuff is always vastly superior to 3D printing.
The build was super simple thanks to the DalRC F405 and Engine 4IO ESC. Both boards are very high quality, nice thick construction and clearly printed, detailed solder masks. As I was fitting things up I was starting to feel like this was the FC/ESC combination that I wanted to build all my future quads with, even though there isn't a way to use S.Port telemetry. Smart Audio functions perfectly and that will be enough for the time being.
The Oblivion doesn't have much provision for cameras other than "full-size", it comes with a ton of little parts and mounting options, but they are definitely for the camera that is used in the PNP/BNF kits. To fit the Predator V2 I had to notch the mount tabs and remove the foam, while also removing plastic from the inside of the canopy shell. Not super simple but not terribly difficult, and the result is still secure and functional.
I don't normally fly with action cameras, but I do have this old Hero4, and the couch mount for the frame is pretty nice. There's no adjustment in the angle, but it's pretty much good to go anyway.
Overall, pretty excited while building this one, can't wait to fly primarily because I know it'll be pretty different from everything else I've got right now.
