can't wait for the pre-order to ship! after building and flying the eclair plus, really looking forward to other airblade products.
been eyeing the slew of HD micro dual stack frames for a long time now
I'll be using some older low kv 1306 3600kv motors - these are pretty efficient, combined with the lower pitched gemfans hopefully the zeus won't catch on fire!
My goal is to get some 10mm slammed action on the intrepid - if the zeus doesn't cut it, i might have to go separate ESC on the arms with an AIO FC
update 14 Sept 2018 Going in a different direction now. going to try to keep it slammed at 10mm and use a session for HD footage as the frame has a nice couch for it. Going for bigger motors (1507) and a decent stack - Airbot Nano V5 and Ori32

finally finished this build. the 10mm stack height was a massive pain. Really had to squeeze out some creative juices to fit everything in. Many nights I just stared at the frame and he parts, mock fitting the puzzle pieces together and then I would just pick up another build that was much easier as I just wasn't happy with my ideas. In the end I got there and the result was rewarding. It looks amazing. Here is some maiden footage with gopro session:

the session really bogs down the bird. You can hear the props screeching in protest, wishing they were bigger (I'm going to order some 4" arms when they come in stock...the 1507 will handle it like a champ) So to reduce weight I found a nice 3d print on thingiverse that will fit a runcam split mini or a caddx turtle and it will then fit anything that fits a gopro session. Printed it in TPU and it works amazingly well! This brought the weight down 50g and you can definitely feel the improvements in flight.
I updated the tune a bit and tried the gopro session again - it's so much nicer than the turtle
update 22 June 2019
i boinked the 3" arms and the cam plates so decided to try the 4" arms with the new gemfan windancer 4032 as well
AirbladeUAV has done it again and this time they've brought long range to the 5" class! Based on the popular Transformer Mini, the new Transformer 5" Ultralight adopts a lot of the same design philosophies with larger props and more payload capacity. It can fly upwards of 20 minutes on a 4 cell Li-Ion battery pack and in ideal conditions it's got a range of over 4 to 5 miles. In this guide I'll walk..

The QAV-CINE Freybott is a compact, lightweight cinematic FPV drone that can take a hit and keep going. It's a lot safer to fly indoors and around people. With a naked GoPro or the SMO 4k you can capture some great stabilized footage. In this guide I'll show you..
