One more vision that slowly in collaboration with Stefan van der Ende is becoming a flying reality. Meet the Hildabeast! A 570mm quad swinging 14" props that does 100mph+ on a 6s lipo.
I've been flying one thing or another since the late 80's but until your holding this, see it in person, or hear it do a 100+ mph overhead flyby it's very hard to describe it. The Hildabeast is definitely a different creature. I'm hoping to get more testing done ASAP but for now here's a few photos including a 5" size comparison.
More to come but I consider this a successful maiden on unbalanced props and a first basic tune. Cruising half throttle st 60 mph pulling around 40 amps and topped out at 108 mph pulling 186 amps. Another nice collaboration with Stefan van der Ende and Stand-In Quad Designs.
Price is to be determined at a later date.
HILDABEAST after a bit of tuning. It's coming along.
What kind of flight times are you getting with that set-up? I absolutely love that frame, It must look pretty wild flying over due to its size and at speeds it can run!
I see in some photos of this build you have the 14" Graupners, and it others you have some (I believe) Master Airscrew 3 blades. What are the specs on the 3 blades? How do they compare to the 2 blade Graupners in terms of smoothness, amp draw, etc. I am piecieng together everything for this build and noticed everybody is out of stock of the Graupners right now. Looking for an alternative for now.
AirbladeUAV has done it again and this time they've brought long range to the 5" class! Based on the popular Transformer Mini, the new Transformer 5" Ultralight adopts a lot of the same design philosophies with larger props and more payload capacity. It can fly upwards of 20 minutes on a 4 cell Li-Ion battery pack and in ideal conditions it's got a range of over 4 to 5 miles. In this guide I'll walk..

The QAV-CINE Freybott is a compact, lightweight cinematic FPV drone that can take a hit and keep going. It's a lot safer to fly indoors and around people. With a naked GoPro or the SMO 4k you can capture some great stabilized footage. In this guide I'll show you..
