This is one of my lighter builds and its a lot of fun to fly. The Matek FCHUB vtx with the f40sd FC makes for a nice neat stack and these RDQ 2206 2450 motors have plenty of punch . I originally built this several months ago for a friend who wanted to get into the hobby but they never got around to paying for it (so now its part of my fleet unless I find another buyer) the Matek vtx/pdb works nice also and saves space integrating it into the PDB like that. The other benefit of this is the heat from the vtx is dissapating into the copper in the pdb so its gonna spare it from heat damage if you have the power cranked right up.
Its a challenging frame when it comes to getting all the parts into it but wiith some careful positioning/planniing you can get all of it in there and even a capacitor as well. I had another of these frames but I snapped 2 of the arms off in a surprisingly light crash so try not to land arms first cuz its not exactly titanium the arms are just thin enough to break right off in a hard stop (not sure if there is a simple way to strengthen or reinforce them: ymmv). Its a small light unit which in the air is very nimble and feels balanced.
If I could say it was more durable I would be a bigger fan of the Meteor. However, Im hard on frames, I would rather see a heavier bottom plate but if you are a ninja who never crashes then maybe this frame will be to your liking. The one thing this frame has going for it is that its a fraction the price of other products. If you dont mind that it breaks on semi hard landings (ie crashing into grass) the ariel acrobatics it can do is impressive. This was one of my earlier builds so its not as neat as I like to be now but with each build I learn a bit more and the fact it flies as good as my more recent projects makes me a bit proud of it despite the rough edges. Im working on a rooster build right now ill be posting it soon if all goes to plan.
AirbladeUAV has done it again and this time they've brought long range to the 5" class! Based on the popular Transformer Mini, the new Transformer 5" Ultralight adopts a lot of the same design philosophies with larger props and more payload capacity. It can fly upwards of 20 minutes on a 4 cell Li-Ion battery pack and in ideal conditions it's got a range of over 4 to 5 miles. In this guide I'll walk..

The QAV-CINE Freybott is a compact, lightweight cinematic FPV drone that can take a hit and keep going. It's a lot safer to fly indoors and around people. With a naked GoPro or the SMO 4k you can capture some great stabilized footage. In this guide I'll show you..
