This is the 3" Pro version of the frame with the 12mm motor mount option. This frame required a bit of filing in order to fit the camera guard side plates.
I used titanium bolts everywhere possible (8mm in the arm to bottom plate connections and 6mm everywhere else) in an effort to save weight. I'm still over 250g by a bit and I don't know where to trim anymore. So the bolts, in my case, were probably a waste of money. I can get in under 250g if I run a 3s 650mAh battery, but it's way better on the 4s 850mAh packs.
The build is pretty tight even at the max top plate height setting. I had to rotate the FC and ESC 90deg clockwise, otherwise their 8 pin plug sockets interfered with the Split Mini stack. The build would have been way easier with a 25mm stack height allowance and 5mm more space between the front and rear stacks. I'm still very happy with the frame.
I'm flying it on Betaflight 3.5 stock PIDs and filter settings with dynamic filtering, airmode, and anti-gravity turned on. It's perfectly smooth, fast, and has zero issues. I could not believe how nicely it flew with zero tuning. I'm probably just going to leave it like this aside from some rate tweaking.
Hi I just recently got a Mini Split2 and having trouble mounting everything in the stack so it fits. I have a question?
How did you mount your ESC board or FC looks flush with the frame? Are you using rubber grommets in the frame with long screws that pass through all the boards?
AirbladeUAV has done it again and this time they've brought long range to the 5" class! Based on the popular Transformer Mini, the new Transformer 5" Ultralight adopts a lot of the same design philosophies with larger props and more payload capacity. It can fly upwards of 20 minutes on a 4 cell Li-Ion battery pack and in ideal conditions it's got a range of over 4 to 5 miles. In this guide I'll walk..

The QAV-CINE Freybott is a compact, lightweight cinematic FPV drone that can take a hit and keep going. It's a lot safer to fly indoors and around people. With a naked GoPro or the SMO 4k you can capture some great stabilized footage. In this guide I'll show you..
