A bit of a franken build but its small, fun to fly and records okay footage without an action cam.
Eachine Lizard95 transfered to a FlexRC Lora 2.5" frame and replaced camera with a Caddx Turtle to try out. Was getting too much camera shake in the recording so replaced the stock eachine motors with these HGLTECH 1105 though not much improved. Turtle is not the best camera i think the lens is plastic?! Anyway, cant ask for the world since theres not many FPV cameras that are this light and compact size that can also record 1080p 60fps. Its been more reliable than my split mini which kept freezing up mid flght giving me no option but to crash. The turtle did skip some frames on me a few times so not perfect. It sometimes has stoped recording to then start again a few seconds later. I turned the loop record setting off so dont know what else is going on. Still, im begining to trust that it wont freeze up on me. Otherwise its been working well after like 40 packs and image quality is not bad at this price range after messing with the settings. Will see how long she holds up.
EXPO -.7 and contrast, sharpness and the rest on 4
6min FT with 700mah 3s - just smooth leasure flying
3-3.5min FT with 350 mah 3s
550mah 3s is the sweet spot with 4-4.5min smooth throttle flying.

Did you flash the latest firmware? It may help with skipping frames and enhance the video quality. They have increased the bit rate in the update. I am having problems with the turtle freezing but it only happens when the drone is on the ground, not sure why but it is a minor inconvenience until it happens in flight.

thats good yeah, i did update once, ill keep checking in for updates. im powering mine straight from the FC batt input and so far so good. I hear ya, about the fear of inflight freeze. I had no luck with the Split mini and lost confidence in it. Best!

AirbladeUAV has done it again and this time they've brought long range to the 5" class! Based on the popular Transformer Mini, the new Transformer 5" Ultralight adopts a lot of the same design philosophies with larger props and more payload capacity. It can fly upwards of 20 minutes on a 4 cell Li-Ion battery pack and in ideal conditions it's got a range of over 4 to 5 miles. In this guide I'll walk..

With the release of the DJI FPV Drone cinematic FPV has become a lot more accessible, but you certainly don't want to crash a $750 drone! The QAV-CINE Freybott is a compact, lightweight cinematic FPV drone that can take a hit and keep going. It's a lot safer to fly indoors and around people. With a naked GoPro or the SMO 4k you can capture some great stabilized footage. In this guide I'll show you..
