I wanted a longrange cruiser and I was not very successfull with my Spectre build. So I decided to go even larger and bought 7" Freestyle frame from AmaxInno, new KISS 4in1 25A esc and KISS v2 FC hoping it will be peace of cake. It turn out to be bit challenging build because the body of the frame is really small and I wanted Micro MinimODS because of RSSI. That required adding 5v BEC. Matek VTX-HV also did not fit in so I bouth TBS Unify instead.
I managed to fit all in and hover test was fine but the real first flight was a disappointment. Way too much vibration. I had to play with PIDs a lot and it took me a week. Finally I am getting somewhere and the tune is getting closer and closer to desired state.
Other than that this quad is great. I really like how it flies and how effective 7" is. It seems like you can fly forever.
I was not very successfull with tunning and I almost gave up on this frame but then AmaxInno released v2 which has 6mm arms that made the frame stiffer and jello went away. It is ofcourse havier but it is worth it.
I moved the KISS parts in between my frames and they ended in my Rotorama Spectre. So I have grabbed some older spares and put them into this AmaxInno v1 freestyle frame with thin 4mm arms. It will be nice test platform for upcomming Betaflight 4.0.
Hi! Nice build! I want to make something similar to this... Kiss fc v2 and 4in1 kiss esc 25A with chameleon ti and steele motor... But I have a question, fc and 4in1 esc are connected throught only one cable? this one https://www.hobbyrc.co.uk/kiss-4in1-esc-cable?
And your xt60 cable for lipo is connected to the esc or directly in the fc?
thanks in advance :)
AirbladeUAV has done it again and this time they've brought long range to the 5" class! Based on the popular Transformer Mini, the new Transformer 5" Ultralight adopts a lot of the same design philosophies with larger props and more payload capacity. It can fly upwards of 20 minutes on a 4 cell Li-Ion battery pack and in ideal conditions it's got a range of over 4 to 5 miles. In this guide I'll walk..

The QAV-CINE Freybott is a compact, lightweight cinematic FPV drone that can take a hit and keep going. It's a lot safer to fly indoors and around people. With a naked GoPro or the SMO 4k you can capture some great stabilized footage. In this guide I'll show you..

hi, very nice setup. i would like to use the 5" amaxinno fresstyle frame with kissv2 and wolf pdb. do you know if it's possible with this frame? thank's you
I am wondering about WolfPDB aswell. I am not totaly sure about it. You would probably need to put the nuts that are securing the arm from the bottom and then it could work.
