This is my second adventure in trying to make a dual-sport rig for large propellers, a racer that can still efficiently fly long range and freestyle well.
For now, the primarily payload is the CADDX Turtle FPV/HD camera, though I have a GoPro Session mount for it as well.
Heart of this build is the same Furibee F4 V5 and ZMR 30A 4-in-1 ESC electronics, paired with RCX H2208 motors. Really hard to beat the price of this core setup. The smoothness and efficiency of these motors is exceptional, able to run race pace on 4S.
The biggest aesthetic improvement is definitely the CL Racing LED-Wire - these look exceptional, and are a great value... just need to add a Tiny's LED on top for full visibility.
Propellers will range from the Gemfan 6042 Flash props (Biblade and Triblade), 5149F Race props, and DAL T5046C V2 Cyclones.
EDIT:
This particular build has been reborn into a Floss2.1 BeastMode clone, with the Caddx Turtle being transplanted to a 7" Floss2.1 Sharkitecture build
AirbladeUAV has done it again and this time they've brought long range to the 5" class! Based on the popular Transformer Mini, the new Transformer 5" Ultralight adopts a lot of the same design philosophies with larger props and more payload capacity. It can fly upwards of 20 minutes on a 4 cell Li-Ion battery pack and in ideal conditions it's got a range of over 4 to 5 miles. In this guide I'll walk..
Read moreWith the release of the DJI FPV Drone cinematic FPV has become a lot more accessible, but you certainly don't want to crash a $750 drone! The QAV-CINE Freybott is a compact, lightweight cinematic FPV drone that can take a hit and keep going. It's a lot safer to fly indoors and around people. With a naked GoPro or the SMO 4k you can capture some great stabilized footage. In this guide I'll show you..

Got any video to post?
None yet - I converted that build into a clone of my Floss-Unicorn and went racing with it (using a smaller camera).
I have a new canopy for that camera, and it'll be built onto my 7" setup... then I'll have video.
