Was looking for a 3" flyer that I could get acceptable HD off of. I was originally going to go with the split mini but got tired of waiting for it to come into stock so went with the Raddx Turtle instead. Like that the red matches the theme.
Standard build with the exception of some 3D printed parts downloaded from Thingiverse.
Just flown a couple times so far, and need to change the antenna mount as there is far too much interfererence.
So far love how it flies, and am looking forward to having a small one to throw in the glove box.

Small one?! The brat is a huge micro! I guess it is all about the perspective. 😉
I like the shoes/guards. I have used the ones available from Brain3d and I keep breaking arms at motor mount holes. Maybe these guards will help prevent that. Please let me know how it holds up after a few crashes. Thanks!
Btw, what's the weight without a battery? Mine came in at 211g which I don't mind at all.
AirbladeUAV has done it again and this time they've brought long range to the 5" class! Based on the popular Transformer Mini, the new Transformer 5" Ultralight adopts a lot of the same design philosophies with larger props and more payload capacity. It can fly upwards of 20 minutes on a 4 cell Li-Ion battery pack and in ideal conditions it's got a range of over 4 to 5 miles. In this guide I'll walk..
Read moreWith the release of the DJI FPV Drone cinematic FPV has become a lot more accessible, but you certainly don't want to crash a $750 drone! The QAV-CINE Freybott is a compact, lightweight cinematic FPV drone that can take a hit and keep going. It's a lot safer to fly indoors and around people. With a naked GoPro or the SMO 4k you can capture some great stabilized footage. In this guide I'll show you..

Wait im not sure but didn't tommy say he made the frame so you can have HD footage without using a gopro (which is heavy for micros). I dont understand how you can loose weight from not using a gopro, but you gained sooo much more from the sheer size and bulk of the frame plus the 3D printed parts. Anyways still looks great dude! tbh as long as its fun to fly then weight is probably not an issue hahaha.
You can have HD footage. Using the Turtle for 1080P 60. You don't need a gopro. This is light, there is no weight issues here. Great fly time, lots of power, no issues at all. Link to some test footage.
oOOoOoo interesting~ actually looking forward to start a 3 inch freestyle setups!
