Here it is guys, the next addition to the family. After flying my flosstyle for about three months I decided I needed a second kwad.

Lets start with how this build came together. There is this guy named Jarrod Bath on youtube, awesome guy and a greta pilot too. He did a giveaway and I won second place. I won a set of Rc in power mark 1 motors and the hobbywing stack. I just want to thank Jarrod and give him a little shoutout. Here is his channel link: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC3mR8tZQQy07tewg3T8X5dA go check him out and tell him Hornet sent ya.

Frame: X Labs Steez 5in
On to how i chose the frame. The steez has always intrigued me. I like that there is only three standoffs to get the top plate off. It seems like a super solid frame. Had a few light to medium crashes and its held up great. only thing will complain about is that the side standoff blocks the usb port. so you have to take the standoff to access it, which isnt a big deal to me cause once i get it setup up Im usually done plugging it in to the computer anyways. I also like that you can fly toilet tank style or normal battery setups if you like. im flying toilet tank and i love how it feels. super locked in.

Motors: RCINPOWER 2306 2750kv.
Now working our way in on the build is the motors. These motors are a bit on the heavy side {38 grams a piece I believe} but i like how a heavy quad feels. super locked and it has that huckibility as Mr. Steele calls it. So no complaints on these motors so far. Not super effiecent but not as bad as i thought it would be. They have a lot of top end also. I can fly for 3 mins flying moderate acro and 4 to 5 mins just cruising.

FC and ESC Stack: Hobbywing f4 and 40amp BlHeli esc.
This is my first experience with the hobbywing stack and let me say Im super impressed with it. I love the layout of the board. I also love the pin system they use to go from the fc to the esc. It makes it super simple and easy to use. As for the fc performance I hav zero complaints. feels super locked in and crisp. It is not soft mounted so it should have that crisp feel. I have no complaints about the esc so far. Hasnt burnt out on me so i guess so far so good. I love the hardware it comes with. perfect for a 20mm build height.

FPV Cam: Runcam Swift micro 2 but soon being upgraded to a runcam racer to try out.
Its a swift micro 2. you all know what that is like. not much more i can say about it that someone already hasnt. Itll be interesting to see how the runcam racer handles, Ive heard so good things and not good things about it. So we will see. I will update this once i put it in.

Fpv Transmitter: TBS Unify HV Race.
Its a unify. that says enough in itself. Superior to all other vtx's.

The 3d printed pod and antenna mounts: From brain 3d
I love the session pod from brain 3d. One you get the gopro in there its never coming out of there. Brain 3d makes some of the cleanest prints ive ever seen. Really suggest Brain3d if you ever need a print or 3d part.

Batteries: CNHL 4s 1300mah 100c.
CNHL makes some of the best batteries on the market. Super cheap and yet some of the best. GIve their batteries a try, you wont be disappointed.

That pretty much wraps up all the info i wanted to put in here. Hope you enjoyed my little info i typed in here and the build, Im pretty happy with how it ended up. Rip on bros.

AirbladeUAV has done it again and this time they've brought long range to the 5" class! Based on the popular Transformer Mini, the new Transformer 5" Ultralight adopts a lot of the same design philosophies with larger props and more payload capacity. It can fly upwards of 20 minutes on a 4 cell Li-Ion battery pack and in ideal conditions it's got a range of over 4 to 5 miles. In this guide I'll walk..

With the release of the DJI FPV Drone cinematic FPV has become a lot more accessible, but you certainly don't want to crash a $750 drone! The QAV-CINE Freybott is a compact, lightweight cinematic FPV drone that can take a hit and keep going. It's a lot safer to fly indoors and around people. With a naked GoPro or the SMO 4k you can capture some great stabilized footage. In this guide I'll show you..
