4" under 250g with a decent capacity 4s battery
AirbladeUAV has done it again and this time they've brought long range to the 5" class! Based on the popular Transformer Mini, the new Transformer 5" Ultralight adopts a lot of the same design philosophies with larger props and more payload capacity. Flight time? Top speed? Agility/accel? We need data! =) =)
Good flight times very efficient setup, feels almost like a 5" with the old emax 2205 red bottoms but lighter. It is alot more sensitive to wind though. I was concerned with the 3mm arms but they handle crashes like a champ, probably due to the light AUW. I could probably have squeezed in a Caddx Turtle v2 and still made the weight, but the props would be in view anyway. Due to regulation I can see a market for a 4" dead cat / alien style frame with hd cam <250g but to my knowledge no such frame light enough exists, but this build proves it is possible. Build was inspired by Kabab FPV
