Speedy gets even more speedy.
Nice one! How do these motors compare to 1106 and 1404? Oh, and the plate is 4mm - NICE!
I've never used 1404, that's probably getting a little heavy for a build like this. These motors are significantly more powerful than the Spintech 1106-8000kV that came before them, because despite being 7% smaller by volume, the 3S version spins almost 21% faster than the older 1106 motors on 2S (which was their limit). They are also a couple grams heavier, which is okay since you have more thrust, but the build definitely is getting tubby at this point.
AirbladeUAV has done it again and this time they've brought long range to the 5" class! Based on the popular Transformer Mini, the new Transformer 5" Ultralight adopts a lot of the same design philosophies with larger props and more payload capacity. It can fly upwards of 20 minutes on a 4 cell Li-Ion battery pack and in ideal conditions it's got a range of over 4 to 5 miles. In this guide I'll walk..

The QAV-CINE Freybott is a compact, lightweight cinematic FPV drone that can take a hit and keep going. It's a lot safer to fly indoors and around people. With a naked GoPro or the SMO 4k you can capture some great stabilized footage. In this guide I'll show you..

Looks good. I'm building a quad with the Spintech frame and motors, but using the new 16x16 succex micro f4 stack. I'm finishing tomorrow, but I'm looking at 162g all up. Can't wait to get it going.
You think the extra 10g less will help?
Going from 171g to 162g is about a 6% reduction in weight. If you're an experienced pilot you might notice the difference, but it won't be drastic. Lighter is almost always better, though :)
