FlexRC Ascent X 2"

It was time to upgrade a 2 year old 1.9" build to a proper 2" with a nicer camera and VTx. Went with the FlexRC Ascent X 2" because I've always had a good experience with the FlexRC frames.

This build was a bit challenging because I didn't realize the Piko BLX had M3 holes but the TX500 had M2s. Went with M2 and so far the stack is stable. Was also a challenge because it's impossible (or nearly) to assemble the cage of the Ascent with the stack in place, and it's difficult to assemble the stock with the cage in place.

Flying weight with battery came out to 100g.

Cool little drone! You kept the weight in check, should fly well.
I have built a bunch of FlexRC frames and could never understand why so many people complain about assembling the cage. I guess somehow it clicked for me. 🤔

With the release of the DJI FPV Drone cinematic FPV has become a lot more accessible, but you certainly don't want to crash a $750 drone! The QAV-CINE Freybott is a compact, lightweight cinematic FPV drone that can take a hit and keep going. It's a lot safer to fly indoors and around people. With a naked GoPro or the SMO 4k you can capture some great stabilized footage. In this guide I'll show you..
