I did some, lets say, "experimenting" with the original 5" arms, then got some 6"ers done for it (thanks lazd). The 5" arms are a few mm short of being able to hold 6" praps. I had originally drilled another motor mount hole in the arm tip to move the motors out more, but this would have been disasterous in a crash. (also thanks lazd) Sometimes I only think of what I can do, not what I should do. ;)
I was planning on using this as the base for my Firebirb, but ended up using a Kingcrab (a 5" version of the Garagecrab) I've wanted to do something special with. It's already back in pieces waiting for the right special project, but I wanted to post this build because I think it was really sharp looking.
AirbladeUAV has done it again and this time they've brought long range to the 5" class! Based on the popular Transformer Mini, the new Transformer 5" Ultralight adopts a lot of the same design philosophies with larger props and more payload capacity. It can fly upwards of 20 minutes on a 4 cell Li-Ion battery pack and in ideal conditions it's got a range of over 4 to 5 miles. In this guide I'll walk..

The QAV-CINE Freybott is a compact, lightweight cinematic FPV drone that can take a hit and keep going. It's a lot safer to fly indoors and around people. With a naked GoPro or the SMO 4k you can capture some great stabilized footage. In this guide I'll show you..
