Generally speaking, I'm really impressed by the frame. It is such a clever and nice looking design... I also believe that it will be quite tough and vibration-free, but I need better weather to find out for sure :-). The intention is to run this on 5 or even 6s, but short hover inside on 4s showed that this thing might have tons of power even on 4s (and eat the battery for breakfast).
Putting it together was a bit tricky. I knew that I need very specific components to make them fit, yet I was caught by two things:
It is also worth mentioning that this FC + VTx combo is so tall that there's literally no space for nuts on top of it. Those would be pressing on the grommets too hard (should they be reasonably tightened), rendering the grommets inefficient, and even worse, transferring additional vibrations from the frame, as they would be touching the top plate. So using M3 o-rings seems to be much better solution. The o-rings are held in place by the top plate, so they are not going anywhere.
This is the thing used to mount the GPS. It is attached using custom-made short strap with a shoe-nail (having wife with a sewing machine comes handy :-)), combined with double sided tape. Double sided tape also holds the Hellgate buzzer in place.
Initially I've had some issues with the Immortal-T mount, as I haven't realized that the wires should be routed through the opening on top of it. Once I have figured that out, it worked beautifully.
My only reservation about this build is the XT60/cap holder. The connector slides out when disconnecting the battery a bit, so i will most likely glue it with CA (or replace it with another holder, or even mount the capacitor differently).
AirbladeUAV has done it again and this time they've brought long range to the 5" class! Based on the popular Transformer Mini, the new Transformer 5" Ultralight adopts a lot of the same design philosophies with larger props and more payload capacity. It can fly upwards of 20 minutes on a 4 cell Li-Ion battery pack and in ideal conditions it's got a range of over 4 to 5 miles. In this guide I'll walk..

The QAV-CINE Freybott is a compact, lightweight cinematic FPV drone that can take a hit and keep going. It's a lot safer to fly indoors and around people. With a naked GoPro or the SMO 4k you can capture some great stabilized footage. In this guide I'll show you..

I am currently building this and decided to get one of these for the Cap/XT60 issue you are having. You may be able to find it on thingiverse if you cant easily get it from the link as its UK based....http://multirotorspares.co.uk/xt-60-capacitor-pigtail-adaptor-printed-in-tpu-sam-napolitano/
This looks definitely better compared to the one I have right now. I guess I'm going to get couple of them... Thanks!
No probs at all. Its much more secure and the way in which it goes together is very very solid.
