So.... this frame is ancient...but after 2 years I finally have a kick-ass 250 drone. This is the original frame I purchased in the summer of '16 when I first decided to build a racing drone

Attempt1: Built it with 2bladed 5" props and a Naze32 FC, with 2205 DLFPV 2300kv motors = sucked.. always had tons of wobble and couldn't tune it out. Quad was hung on the wall for decoration.

In the meantime, got into TinyWhoops, bought a BFight210 on BG for $100, built a Chamelon 5" and acquired lots of spare parts.

I finally decided to give this frame a redux with the configuration below.

Wow... took it to the park with BF 3.5 on it and LOVED every minute of it...

I'm still playing with props on this. My pictures have DalProp 5040's on it... Gonna try those out and compare to the 5046's that I fly on everything else.

Lesson learned: The DLFPV motors were crap..... are crap and I would never recommend them. I'm pretty sure I lost out on 2 years of flying because of those.

AirbladeUAV has done it again and this time they've brought long range to the 5" class! Based on the popular Transformer Mini, the new Transformer 5" Ultralight adopts a lot of the same design philosophies with larger props and more payload capacity. It can fly upwards of 20 minutes on a 4 cell Li-Ion battery pack and in ideal conditions it's got a range of over 4 to 5 miles. In this guide I'll walk..

With the release of the DJI FPV Drone cinematic FPV has become a lot more accessible, but you certainly don't want to crash a $750 drone! The QAV-CINE Freybott is a compact, lightweight cinematic FPV drone that can take a hit and keep going. It's a lot safer to fly indoors and around people. With a naked GoPro or the SMO 4k you can capture some great stabilized footage. In this guide I'll show you..
