more updatez coming.
My little Phantom Exige. 2.5" currently runs on Flywoo motors which I've been VERY happy with. The intent on my first build has been to:
1) Do a first new scratch cutsom build with some asthetocs in mind (pruple and gold)
2) Build for cruising sweeping flights and respectible footage (Short of go pro due to weight/cost, perhaps could try instago one day).
I feel this a success at 720mah 2s 8+ min. have not tested range.. with XM+ & 600mw TBS Unify 2pro, menace patch antenna.. in time we will if we can accomodate a GPS. Also have 5-blade props to try.
Getting 3D pronts done for the arms, cam mount, antena/power and card protector. The added weight of the prints would take the joy out of flying - the punch at 109g is only adequate.. so a rethinknof yhe motors atd in order.
Found Apex motors in gold, which boast very efficient timings at 1303.6. If they are what they claim we get longer flight times in cruiser configuration and more acceleration in freestyle configuration even with the mass of protection. (Purple Evo shield lol)
Before swapping motors, would like to record flight times for various props/batteries yhen again with the new morors just to see..
AirbladeUAV has done it again and this time they've brought long range to the 5" class! Based on the popular Transformer Mini, the new Transformer 5" Ultralight adopts a lot of the same design philosophies with larger props and more payload capacity. It can fly upwards of 20 minutes on a 4 cell Li-Ion battery pack and in ideal conditions it's got a range of over 4 to 5 miles. In this guide I'll walk..

The QAV-CINE Freybott is a compact, lightweight cinematic FPV drone that can take a hit and keep going. It's a lot safer to fly indoors and around people. With a naked GoPro or the SMO 4k you can capture some great stabilized footage. In this guide I'll show you..
