Was looking at this frame for a while, and this is one of the nicest looking and sturdy 3" quads I've seen. But be warned, this build is "TIGHT"..so plan well. Forget about installing a Runcam Split or Caddx Turtle (HD recording) if you dont get an "all in one" fc with ESCs. I wanted solid 4S power, and the AirBlade 4850KV Superman Motors and Airbot Ori 4 In1 25A ESCs certainly deliver. THe EMAX Avan 3" props are awesome...great thrust, stability, and control. Flys good with stock PIDs, going to be tuning when I get some real outdoor time...
omg how did those props fit that motor. I have a similarly shaped and same 1404 stator size (im using the dys 1404 4300kv) and they dont fit hahah.
Interestingly, I just finished an MMD and I was actually thinking it maybe possible to jam in a split cam. The Ori ESC takes up a lot of height. A stack consisting of Spedix 20A, F411 mini, AKK FX3 and a single split board may fit in using short standoffs along with an XM or R9 mini rx. That would definitely be an exercise in masochism 🤯 I wish they had a better way of attaching the strap because that takes some room as well.
Winter hasn't even started yet 😠I have been flying through the cold, a couple of packs at a time. It sucks.
As with HD recoding with the split cameras, you will never get the GoPro quality. Then there's a small matter of pilot skills that make videos worth watching. So I just fly for fun without worrying about video. To each his or her own, I guess.
AirbladeUAV has done it again and this time they've brought long range to the 5" class! Based on the popular Transformer Mini, the new Transformer 5" Ultralight adopts a lot of the same design philosophies with larger props and more payload capacity. It can fly upwards of 20 minutes on a 4 cell Li-Ion battery pack and in ideal conditions it's got a range of over 4 to 5 miles. In this guide I'll walk..

The QAV-CINE Freybott is a compact, lightweight cinematic FPV drone that can take a hit and keep going. It's a lot safer to fly indoors and around people. With a naked GoPro or the SMO 4k you can capture some great stabilized footage. In this guide I'll show you..
