This build turned out real nice. Wish now would have chosen a lower Kv motor than 6500Kv. Quite sure the flight times would increase and the throttle sensitivty decrease. Tuning this bad boy was a chore with the particularly high Kv motors and light build. Once the throttle curve is tuned to hover around mid stick with ease, and tame the landings abit, this little guy will be good to go.
Two hours later........went for a maiden on a custom throttle curve using the Taranis radio. By lowering the max throttle 75% made a huge difference in the flight. Hover is mid stick and landings are a breeze. It almost feels like going to a lower Kv motor. Anything over 75% max throttle was nothing but high amp draw anyway. To sum things up, now these high Kv motors on 3S batteries running an aggressive 3" prop feels like dialed back Kv motors in the sky.
