This was a really fun build and surprisingly not too difficult.
The most difficult part was finding an appropriate VTX. Originally I planned on using the Atlatl V2 VTX but the stack ended up too high for the frame and the VTX would not fit in the back behind the stack. The MMCX connector that came with the RDQ Mach 2 VTX that i ended up using needed to be swapped out with a 90 degree MMCX connector.
The R9mm receiver is mounted below the VTX in a 3d printed mount. i was unable to cleanly mount the receiver antenna out the back of the kwad so i mounted it to the rear left arm and used some forever tubes over zip ties to keep it in place.
The 3d printed parts in red were sourced from Brain3d . The plans for mount for the r9mm were found on Thingiverse and printed at my local university.
AirbladeUAV has done it again and this time they've brought long range to the 5" class! Based on the popular Transformer Mini, the new Transformer 5" Ultralight adopts a lot of the same design philosophies with larger props and more payload capacity. It can fly upwards of 20 minutes on a 4 cell Li-Ion battery pack and in ideal conditions it's got a range of over 4 to 5 miles. In this guide I'll walk..

The QAV-CINE Freybott is a compact, lightweight cinematic FPV drone that can take a hit and keep going. It's a lot safer to fly indoors and around people. With a naked GoPro or the SMO 4k you can capture some great stabilized footage. In this guide I'll show you..

Great build, making one with the same FC/ESC. Does the capacitor make a difference?
The capacitor is not necessary but if you notice any video or gyro noise you can try adding one to improve things. i haven't tried this build without one.
