Update 3: Changed a couple of things on this build, the biggest being new motors. At first the original motors were good but I eventually started getting a mid throttle oscillation that I could not tune out. It made everything recorded with this quad unusable. I recently built a similar quad using the Emax Eco motors and they were silky smooth so I bought a set for this quad. That worked great and all oscillations are gone. Added a couple of new pics with the new motors.
Update 2: Got to get out and really test it. Flew about 8 packs through and the power is amazing. I'm very happy so far with this build. Once I make some final adjustments I think this may become my goto quad for freestyle. No problem with any of the parts so far. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend any of them. The Tachyon motors had amazing power. I compared them to my Hypetrain 2306/2450 motors on my chameleon. The Tachyons definitely had more raw thrust, the HTs were a little smoother in their power delivery but they were close in that regard. Very happy with this build so far.
Update: Got a chance to fly a few packs today and make some adjustments. It flies great, getting jello free GoPro video and a lot of power on punch outs. Got my rates set and it feels really nice. Reprinted the GoPro mount, too. Messed with the settings and reoriented the way it was printed and it came out much better.Taking it out tomorrow for some more serious flying. Have a good feeling about this one.
My first time printing the 3D parts myself on this build. Have been gathering the parts and thinking about the layout for a while. Finally did the assembly today and got in a quick test hover. Everything checks out so far. It was a fairly simple, straight forward build. This frame gives you lots of room and options. It's the first F7 build I've done, not sure if it'll really make a difference. I'm hoping these motors turn out OK, iFlight has been making some good motors lately. If not, they still are pretty. This wasn't a very expensive build but I think it'll be a solid one. Update as soon as I get a chance for a good maiden, hopefully in the next couple of days. Curious to see how the R9 system does with this type of antenna mount.
Hey what's the printed shark fin shaped piece for, to protect the battery when you arent using the Session?
AirbladeUAV has done it again and this time they've brought long range to the 5" class! Based on the popular Transformer Mini, the new Transformer 5" Ultralight adopts a lot of the same design philosophies with larger props and more payload capacity. It can fly upwards of 20 minutes on a 4 cell Li-Ion battery pack and in ideal conditions it's got a range of over 4 to 5 miles. In this guide I'll walk..

The QAV-CINE Freybott is a compact, lightweight cinematic FPV drone that can take a hit and keep going. It's a lot safer to fly indoors and around people. With a naked GoPro or the SMO 4k you can capture some great stabilized footage. In this guide I'll show you..

hey nice build. hows that ESC working out for you?
No problems with it so far with quite a few packs run. Only issue I had with this build was my fault, had to repalce an arm and a motor due to a tree in my way.
