my attempt to build the ultimate city ripper
I find Karl's designs to not only be great lookers but are strong and well thought out.
He stocks some of his frames in the UK and the rest can be found in his Armattan Productions store
The FC was mounted upside down. Mind the USB port and make sure your pod allows access to it.
Extending the motor wires was a pain. I can probably save a gram and not use silicone tape for the wires but that's what I had at the time.
The combination of vtx split out from an eachine HC48D AIO camera and the NBD BeeEye & pod is super light.
This 1.8mm prototype turned out a sprightly 31g!
--14 Jan 2019 maiden flight! 3.5 to 4 minutes on 260mah is incredible
if i'm going to use 20x20 stack, can i still use 3" props ? i want to build 20x20 stack 1104 gemfan 3025. will it work ? btw i just ordered this frame.
Hey... I like this frame a lot but the canopy seems very weak. By the way, is the badmington court where you are flying in Old street in London??
Change out that connector for xt30 bro, far better performance according to KababFPV
Yes, that is a thought. Although Kabab is running 1103 motors. I might do later but I'm enjoying the lightweight setup. Add xt30 will add quite a bit of weight as the packs weigh more. I did this with a mobula7 and didn't see much benefit (I'm running the mobula7 motors here) and actually because of the added weight (including eos2 thoough), lost it's agility. Then eventually the higher gauge pigtail ripped off the positive pad which rendered the FC useless :(
I'll be building another one with bigger motors and that will definitely need xt30 but for this one, I'm really enjoying it at 31g (I have some ideas to get it down to about 27g)
AirbladeUAV has done it again and this time they've brought long range to the 5" class! Based on the popular Transformer Mini, the new Transformer 5" Ultralight adopts a lot of the same design philosophies with larger props and more payload capacity. It can fly upwards of 20 minutes on a 4 cell Li-Ion battery pack and in ideal conditions it's got a range of over 4 to 5 miles. In this guide I'll walk..
Read moreWith the release of the DJI FPV Drone cinematic FPV has become a lot more accessible, but you certainly don't want to crash a $750 drone! The QAV-CINE Freybott is a compact, lightweight cinematic FPV drone that can take a hit and keep going. It's a lot safer to fly indoors and around people. With a naked GoPro or the SMO 4k you can capture some great stabilized footage. In this guide I'll show you..

That frame is better than the toothpick in my opinion, it can mount every 1103!
there wil be a 3mm version of this frame...meaning mounting a 1206 or a 1304 and spin 3" props will actually be viable! With all the HD whoop hype it's only a matter of time for someone to release a decent FC/ESC AIO that will be able to push such a setup
here's an idea. but i need a frame for it, thicker frame. betafpv 3s 15a whoop stack, 3s 1105 motors, gf3025, weight 60-65g dry
you can get this frame in 3mm
