This is mainly a transplant build from a 5" Merica. I really like using the Gemfan Flash 5552 props on all my 6" frames so that is why I wanted to convert the Merica this way too. Unfortunately, it was not a simple switch of the arms. I guess I could have done that, but the bottom plate is a little thicker on the 6". Good thing I also swapped out the motors to a set of brand new Emax Lite Spec 2207 2400kv because I did not have to extend the wires to accommodate the longer arms. I also made a slight modification after seeing the newer version of the Merica-X 5 where they place the cross brace on top of the arm instead of below. Since I cannot do the same thing with the crossbar that I have, the only option is to add a spacer to lift the motor even higher. I 3d printed a 6mm spacer to lift the rear motor a little higher so I can get a larger offset between the front and rear motors.
Take a look at the images below and you will see how much bigger the 6” frame is. The only difference I noticed between the 5” and 6” frame is the thicker (6mm) and longer arms, and the thicker bottom plate. Since the Arms are 1mm thicker I had to modify the arm bumper so it will fit. I did not install the arm bumpers yet, so that is why you do not see them in the pictures.
Update (July 2019) - GoPro 7 Black and Foxeer Falkor Micro Camera
After getting a GoPro 7 Black I could not go back using a Session anymore. With Hypersmooth it makes everything look a lot better. I also switched out the Foxeer Monster camera because I upgraded my Dom v3 to a HDO, so now I need 4:3 cameras and that is why I am now using a Foxeer Falkor micro. I thought I need to switch my Gemfan Flash 5552 props to 6" but so far it flies great with the same props even though the GoPro 7 is twice as heavy as the Session. If you look at all my builds you will see I use the same Gopro 7 case, I just remixed the 3D file and adapted the different mounts that fits my quad. I uploaded the STL file to thingivese if you want a Gopro 7 mount for your Merica too. You can find the link below in the parts list.

AirbladeUAV has done it again and this time they've brought long range to the 5" class! Based on the popular Transformer Mini, the new Transformer 5" Ultralight adopts a lot of the same design philosophies with larger props and more payload capacity. It can fly upwards of 20 minutes on a 4 cell Li-Ion battery pack and in ideal conditions it's got a range of over 4 to 5 miles. In this guide I'll walk..

The QAV-CINE Freybott is a compact, lightweight cinematic FPV drone that can take a hit and keep going. It's a lot safer to fly indoors and around people. With a naked GoPro or the SMO 4k you can capture some great stabilized footage. In this guide I'll show you..
