i ve got a question about the ducts, why are they popular or why do you choose them for a 3“. is it only for savety if you touch something or is there another benefit? thanks in advance for an answer

these are special ducts, with low tolerance they provide 240g of additional thrust: https://shendrones.myshopify.com/products/squirt-preorder
as well as making people you fly around feel warm and fuzzy :P normally you don't see ducts on a 3" frame, cause the 3" platform's not meant for slow controlled flight like this quad is. and you don't wana bump these ducts too much because of the tight tolerance... these are NOT to protect the props, like they would be on a woop...

very nice, thanks for your answer. (if i dont waste your time to much - with the higher thrust from the ducts, is this more sound from the props like the additional thrust? or the same)

the extra thrust comes from air flowing over the ducts, the motors are not working any harder. It's just channeling the air flow better and taking more advantage of it. Should be quieter if anything, unless the props start hitting them or something
