I've built a few drones as part of my job, but wanted to do a build with my kids - something that would be fun to build and also fun to fly. FPV seemed like the natural choice. Since this is my first personal foray into the RC world I needed a full setup as well (FPV goggles, transmitter, basic tools of the trade, etc.). Everything is documented here.
I chose KDE motors because they have been absolutely bullet proof in my experience. I take a slight weight hit, but the performance I get from them is awesome.
