AirbladeUAV has done it again and this time they've brought long range to the 5" class! Based on the popular Transformer Mini, the new Transformer 5" Ultralight adopts a lot of the same design philosophies with larger props and more payload capacity. It can fly upwards of 20 minutes on a 4 cell Li-Ion battery pack and in ideal conditions it's got a range of over 4 to 5 miles. In this guide I'll walk..

How do you find the landing gear? I'm waiting for my frame to show up and from what I've read, the landing gear are very weak. I'm thinking about ordering some 16mm carbon fiber tube and 3d printing some brackets.
I haven't had any problem with mine. You can find replacement landing gear here - http://www.helipal.com/ag-003-landing-skids-set.html
You are welcome to join my Facebook group - search for : daya 550 storm (quadcopter group) I would love to see pictures of your build.
OK good to know. Are there other replacment parts available? The way the landing gear attach to the lower PDB looks like a potential fail point to me...I'll probably strengthen that area up a bit.
I gave up Facebook a while ago, are you guys active anywhere else? Would love to see what people are doing with this frame and share my progress as well. I'll be basing my build on a Matek F405 STD running Arducopter and will adapt my self built Hero 7 Black gimbal for it. Will initally be running 4s as I have some large 710kv motors already. If it feels sluggish I'll probably go something similair to what you have.
