I moved most of the parts from my SquirtV2 over to this Marmotte frame so I can continue to build my freestyle skills. This is my first 5" quad and my second build. I decided to install a Falkor Mini 2.5mm on this build because the Marmotte is designed for a mini size camera, and I was curious to see how it compared to the Micro Eagle I used on my Squirt.
I miss my Squirt already so I'm sure I will end up getting parts to get it back in the air soon. I was flying it in cold weather and the ducts kept cracking from hard landings or small bumps. I've been struggling to print TPU reliably on my Duplicator 6, so I decided to go for a 5" freestyle frame that doesn't require two 10-hour prints whenever I crash.

I really like the vtx/rx mounting solution in the rear? Did you just use the pin adapator on the nano rx and solder it to the top? Could you post some more pics of that with the top plate off?
Sure, I just added more photos above.
I used the WhitenoiseFPV nano-nano mounting board for the TBS VTX and RX and mounted it in the aft 20mm slots on the frame. One of the reasons I like the Marmotte frame is the flexibility that the mounting holes and slots allow.
I designed the antenna mount so the VTX antenna is positioned based on how it is mounted on the frame. The Immortal-T lead is too long for a straight shot, so I looped it back and used some of the heat shrink provided with the VTX to hold it in place. There is also a strip of heat shrink holding the U.FL connector down on the RX.
A glob of hot glue secures the antenna leads to the Whitenoise board for additional strain relief.
I got a bunch of dirt in the open bottom motors during my first landing, so I printed some of these protectors for next time: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3115041. We'll see if they keep dirt out.
Exactly! I designed the antenna mount to run the antenna leads straight off the boards with no intermediary pigtail. Time will tell if that's a good idea! The Immortal-T loops forward and then back, so that will help with strain relief. The AXII goes straight back and up, but there's some hot glue in between as strain relief. We'll see what happens if it gets hooked on something hard.
I've heard that if you buy a Unify Pro32 Nano vtx from a recent batch, it comes with a mounting board that fits the Pro32 perfectly. The WhitenoiseFPV board I used is actually designed for the regular nano vtx, not the Pro32, so I filed it slightly to fit.
AirbladeUAV has done it again and this time they've brought long range to the 5" class! Based on the popular Transformer Mini, the new Transformer 5" Ultralight adopts a lot of the same design philosophies with larger props and more payload capacity. It can fly upwards of 20 minutes on a 4 cell Li-Ion battery pack and in ideal conditions it's got a range of over 4 to 5 miles. In this guide I'll walk..

The QAV-CINE Freybott is a compact, lightweight cinematic FPV drone that can take a hit and keep going. It's a lot safer to fly indoors and around people. With a naked GoPro or the SMO 4k you can capture some great stabilized footage. In this guide I'll show you..

CLEAN BUILD! Just finished my Marmotte build with the same fc and esc. Been running the pin32 and talon f7 for 2 months now and I'm amazed how good this stack runs on 6s and 2208's.
