They say the HSKRC Freestyle 250 is a clone of a more well known pilot designer frame. I really wouldn't know since I only own this one. The low-profile styling most likely was inspired (read copied) by the original, but the assembly and construction differs.
I made a few different design choices during the build:
ESC Placement - I routed the motor wires and ESC below the arm. It saves the ESC and wires from prop hits. I also wanted the ESC LEDs to be viewable from the underside i.e. when the quad is "going", instead of "coming".

I definitely recommend an AIO for this frame. A double board 30x30 stack is possible, but it would not leave room for much else. Even with the single FC layer, I had to position the VTX in the tail section. The receiver and and 12V regulator are a snug fit under the inverted FC. For SmartPort telemetry, the Flip32 requires a BAT54 Schottky diode across the one of the inverted UARTs. Fortunately, these diodes are cheap and readily available on eBay. ReadytoFlyQuads.com provides a diagram on where to install the diode.
The XSR-M antenna placement was inspired by Whiffles, of course.
I'm still in search of a 3D printing service with teal TPU, for matching, of course!
I love that you got the LED's on your ESC's to point down, that looks aweseome in flight. I know ppl talk a lot about frame cloning, but it's not worth an extra $70-80 for the same frame. If the designers didn't try to gouge us on the prices, there wouldn't be a clone of every frame.... So that's on them. I dig that you went for the toilet tank battery orientation, how is that working out? Also: with your motor wires run through the crash absorbent structure added to the end of the arms, have you lost any motors/ESC's in crashes?
Thanks for the feedback!
Toilet tank battery orientation....haven't heard that one, but I like it! So far, I haven't seen the need to change it, so I guess it's working out. No major crashes or repairs yet. The motor wires definitely look like they're hanging out there, all exposed. I probably could have cleaned that up with shrink wrap to bundle them together.
