Beautiful build bro!

Wish my build was as clean as yours!

Cereal_Bird   Jun 23, 2019

DId you use the included 16mm screw for the stack? I can't get my stack to fit

Fractalengineer   Jun 24, 2019

Actually no I used 20mm long screws I had laying around; this way I can fit the ESC and FC on the same stack

Really nice Marmotte build, easily one of my favorites. I see you have nice clean video. The VTX appears to be in the tail end of the quad along with the receiver? I'm thinking of doing the same but was worried that mounting them near eachother might mess up the video feed...

Fractalengineer   Jun 23, 2019

Thanks man; yep Rx is ziptied right on top of the VTx; always done like that never been an issue

Good job sir! Love the idea of the hifi covering cable - looks really smart. Just bought the frame - thanks for the inspiration!

wow it really is elegant! I can’t wait to build my own as this is next!

roboluc   Mar 29, 2019

What is the weight, and what battery do you use? Nice build btw, Can't wait to get mine!

Fractalengineer   Mar 30, 2019

Yo, I'm using ONBO Si-Graphene 95C 1300 and 1500 mAh
Weights 360g dry and 530g with the 1300 lipo (see pics :) )

roboluc   Mar 30, 2019

Oh, haha didn't see that one 😅.

TheShoe   Mar 28, 2019

Beutiful clean build! can you please tell us how she flies with all the components you selected? fpv feed clean? I emailed you about the black/gold wire covers. I cant find them anywhere.

Fractalengineer   Mar 29, 2019

Thanks my guy appreciate it; I'd describe it as a very efficient flier, those velvet motors make it very smooth and precise while still having loads of power to back it up
An iron hand in a velvet glove ;)

The braided sleeves I got them from my local electronic store; in the DIY audio area; it's meant to cover hifi speaker cables. Many different colors too. Hope that helps!

TheShoe   Mar 29, 2019

Thanks for the info found the audio sleeves. what size??? Noice video 7 minutes. Sweet.
hardest decision is what fc and esc to use are the ones your using reliable and trouble free?

Fractalengineer   Mar 29, 2019

Great; can't remember the size but they expand nicely so you can eyeball it

I was perfectly happy with my F4 on the other build but this F7 is a beast; so easy to setup and with plenty of room for improvement for a long time

My old ricerstar 4-1 ESC have given lots of trouble though; desyncs, spins of death... This one runs Blheli_32 and can do DSHOT1200; very reactive, haven't had any issue so far.

If anything I'd advise staying away from the cheap chinese copycats options and stay with the reputed manufacturers; for everything.

I've had lots of crashes that pretty much always ended in breaking something, and 80% of the time due to hardware problem; seldom to my own piloting skills. Check out the video I uploaded right before this one on my YT channel; you'll understand.

Having a build that you can trust and rely on is the first step in enjoying the hobby I'm finally realizing :)

Tyger   Mar 28, 2019

Amazing build, been waiting for someone to fo it right with the marmotte frame and you've done it. Have you have any esc noise in the camera?

Fractalengineer   Mar 29, 2019

Thanks man; no noise neither in the cam nor in the gyro; all very clean and well rounded kwad

In late 2019 DJI made inroads into the FPV scene with their remarkable low-latency digital system. It gave us a 720p video feed with latency on-par with the status quo, analog video. Traditionally we've used analog video systems for low-latency video, but the video quality is far from ideal. It's a trade-off we've been willing to accept for the control. Now we've got the best of both worlds and what..

When the FatShark HDOs hit the market in 2018 the FPV community rejoiced for the new Sony OLED displays. While they lacked further upgrades like an updated DVR and power button they were still a market success. With the 2019 announcement of the Orqa FPV.One the community finally had a potential HDO killer on the horizon. With only weeks before the release of the Orqa FPV.One Skyzone came out of left..
