This build was put together on a Strix Screech-R frame (V1 frame is no longer available, but V2 improves anything I had an issue with on this frame), with a Aikon AK32 4-1 ESC, CL Racing F7 flight controller, RDQ 2205 Badass motors, RaceDayQuads Mach 3, Runcam Micro Eagle, and HQ 5X4.3X3 props

The Aikon 4-1 ESC was turned sideways to allow the battery connector leads to run out the side of the frame and down. There is not much build space on the front of the quad, and so the camera had to be mounted upside down in order to allow for enough room for the wiring harness. I'm using a Axii Stubby antenna that is integrated into a TPU fin that I designed and printed.

Here's a link to the fin that I designed and printed. I made this for the Screech-R V1 (posted here) top plate with only the single stand off...going to be working on the V2 here after a while that separates the fin and the antenna mount. Hope ya'll like it! https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3540412

Hey here's the fin I uploaded to thingiverse. This is the fin that integrates into the V1 top plate...I'm working on a V2 fin for the new version of the frame too that will have the fin and the antenna seperate. Thanks! https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3540412

AirbladeUAV has done it again and this time they've brought long range to the 5" class! Based on the popular Transformer Mini, the new Transformer 5" Ultralight adopts a lot of the same design philosophies with larger props and more payload capacity. It can fly upwards of 20 minutes on a 4 cell Li-Ion battery pack and in ideal conditions it's got a range of over 4 to 5 miles. In this guide I'll walk..

With the release of the DJI FPV Drone cinematic FPV has become a lot more accessible, but you certainly don't want to crash a $750 drone! The QAV-CINE Freybott is a compact, lightweight cinematic FPV drone that can take a hit and keep going. It's a lot safer to fly indoors and around people. With a naked GoPro or the SMO 4k you can capture some great stabilized footage. In this guide I'll show you..
