I had been interested in FPV quadcopters ever since I saw one on vacation in Mexico, and at my school, we have this hour for a "capstone project" that we have to finish by the end of the year. I though it would be interesting and fun project to research and build an FPV quadcopter. Over the course of the project, I had to overcome some challenges:
1 - I had to buy a new flight controller and esc because I rendered a pad unusable and made the mistake of buying an aio flight controller
2 - I had a crappy soldering iron from amazon that made the build take way too long, so I had to buy a new one
3 - I made the mistake of not securing my balance plug TWICE, so I had to buy new balance leads because they got chopped up. Those were fun to solder back on (I recommend using rubber bands to secure them)
4 - I made the mistake of buying RPSMA goggles and SMA antennas, so I had to buy an adapter
5 - I put the VTX over the boot button on the flight controller, that took 20 minutes to figure out
Overall, the build ended out great, although I had to squeeze some components in there
AirbladeUAV has done it again and this time they've brought long range to the 5" class! Based on the popular Transformer Mini, the new Transformer 5" Ultralight adopts a lot of the same design philosophies with larger props and more payload capacity. It can fly upwards of 20 minutes on a 4 cell Li-Ion battery pack and in ideal conditions it's got a range of over 4 to 5 miles. In this guide I'll walk..

The QAV-CINE Freybott is a compact, lightweight cinematic FPV drone that can take a hit and keep going. It's a lot safer to fly indoors and around people. With a naked GoPro or the SMO 4k you can capture some great stabilized footage. In this guide I'll show you..
