so after using many different props I have recorded my best GPS speed so far and I didnt believe it at first so I repeated it 3 separate times and checked the logs in blackbox and on my taranis x-lite. The top speed was 126.54 mph!!! I was using T-Motor T5143 ultra light props and a Tattu R-Line 1300mah 120C version 3 lipo. This frame is a unique experience. 4/9/19- build is complete, this thing is fast as hell and super nimble. this frame is very impressive. only flew for a couple minutes due to it getting dark out. will update with more details when I get to fly it again tomorrow.
4/8/19- decided i didn't like the mamba tower, so I put a radix fc and a T-Motor 55a 4in1 esc in instead. currently wiring them up then build will be complete!
4/6/19- Commencing build. The new BMS T-Motor raptor motors are a work of art.
Hey.... did you make a bigger canopy? I am at a pause to see if I can redeisgn the stock one to be bigger (and I used a 20mm stack and had originally planned to use the F55A and some 30.5mm F7!).
NIce! It looks really good with that distressed silver canopy. One thing you should watch for is wear on the motor wires where the canopy and spars meet. It may not be a big deal with your build. But with my routing and using 20x20 electronics I had to put tape between them to keep from wearing through the insulation.
Why you didn't like the Mamba stack? :-)
this looks sleek, love the grey. one question though, what didn't you like about the mamba stack?
thank you! and what I didnt like was, before I soldered the motor wires on, I noticed some of the corners of the esc pads were lifted a little bit. so it made me worry that they would lift off during flight. so I replaced the stack with the components I always use. I have since contacted the company I got the stack from and have a new esc on the way. so I will be trying it again in the future. the fc in the stack was fine and has a nice layout. I also think the stack is really nice looking with the whole gold and black thing.
AirbladeUAV has done it again and this time they've brought long range to the 5" class! Based on the popular Transformer Mini, the new Transformer 5" Ultralight adopts a lot of the same design philosophies with larger props and more payload capacity. It can fly upwards of 20 minutes on a 4 cell Li-Ion battery pack and in ideal conditions it's got a range of over 4 to 5 miles. In this guide I'll walk..

The QAV-CINE Freybott is a compact, lightweight cinematic FPV drone that can take a hit and keep going. It's a lot safer to fly indoors and around people. With a naked GoPro or the SMO 4k you can capture some great stabilized footage. In this guide I'll show you..
