Built this quad close to a year ago now (this was my first build). The most current version is with the blue 3d printed backpack. I've gone through 2 frames, first one crashed straight into a tree, second failsafed out of the sky onto good ol pavement. Original build had runcam split mini v1 and was very hard to fit everything into the build, tried rcINpower 1108 6800kv motors at one point but they were really power hungry and SMOKING HOT coming down no matter how much i tried to tune. With the 3.0 version I upgraded whip antenna to the micro lollipop, added a frame sticker set, and the 3d printed backpack for the xm+. I have to admit I LOVE THIS FRAME!
AirbladeUAV has done it again and this time they've brought long range to the 5" class! Based on the popular Transformer Mini, the new Transformer 5" Ultralight adopts a lot of the same design philosophies with larger props and more payload capacity. It can fly upwards of 20 minutes on a 4 cell Li-Ion battery pack and in ideal conditions it's got a range of over 4 to 5 miles. In this guide I'll walk..

I like both MD and MMD frames. MMD allows for more power but given more power and weight it's much easier to break. So I have designed a bumper that protects the carbon up front and fits both MD and MMD frames

I got the backpack file from you! Thank you much appreciated, yes was planning on getting the front bumpers as well.
Oh, cool! I thought it looked familiar. Happy that someone found it useful!
With the bumper, the weakest part of the frame is the vertical cage members at the back but it's more of a problem with the heavier MMD.
We are talking about the one massive bumber, not the flimsy strips I have had uploaded first, right?
Yeaaaaaah the FAT chubby front bumper =D
