Flying 4400 5S (dual 2200s) on 2408.5 2222kv this quad is meant for fast long range and killing some amps... She's a beast.

What made you decide to run dual 5S instead of single/dual 6S? Or even just a high mah single 5S?
Hey allright! Another 2408.5 7" LR club member! I love the sound of the bearings on arm. They have that "premium skateboard bearing" sound that makes me feel warm inside. I've been getting nearly 10 minutes of flight on the 1622 KVs (on a big 6S) with plenty of power left over! That's more "beach cruiser" than it is "freestyle motocross".
Killer! I'll see the hawks and buzzards gliding around when I get home and that will make me want to get up there and just float around with them (unfortunately they wisely keep their distance so I can't really fly "with them"). I'm glad LR seems to be gaining as much steam as X-Class. That is my next leap to take (gotta save up a little money and do some research). Thanks for sharing Jeff!
So this build was purpose built for fast cruising, not efficiency. Taking that into account with dual 2200 5S at 55-60 average cruise you're looking at probably 8-9 minutes without being super hard on batteries. If you wanna go hella slow (35-40mph) I'm sure this build would reach 12+ minutes, and change the props out to the crappy 7x3.5 probably 15 minutes..... But that's not my type of flying.
But when I fly I think more about how far while maintaining speed. So in that regard this rig is capable of 3 miles out and back at a decent cruise, or 4 miles out and back with one leg fast. I've done two 1.5 mile out and backs on the same battery with mAH to spare on the same flight.
I use Tattu all the time, and many of my friends use this brand of battery.Of course, because it has many advantages, such as high security, high energy density, high cycle life, high and low temperature performance. We all play with this. You can also customize battery, shape and capacity.Hope it helps!

AirbladeUAV has done it again and this time they've brought long range to the 5" class! Based on the popular Transformer Mini, the new Transformer 5" Ultralight adopts a lot of the same design philosophies with larger props and more payload capacity. It can fly upwards of 20 minutes on a 4 cell Li-Ion battery pack and in ideal conditions it's got a range of over 4 to 5 miles. In this guide I'll walk..

The QAV-CINE Freybott is a compact, lightweight cinematic FPV drone that can take a hit and keep going. It's a lot safer to fly indoors and around people. With a naked GoPro or the SMO 4k you can capture some great stabilized footage. In this guide I'll show you..
