Catching up again... no contenders yet?! As far as landing goes, I fly the thing overhead from behind (so I know orientation) and when I hear it go overhead, I switch to angle mode, take off the goggles, and land it los. You can get fancy and put a spike in the tail to land it like a lawn dart

I dont think i have ever landed .Thought of the lawn dart scenerio but the ground is like concrete here.
Still thinking.Freight takes soooo long to get to west oz and sometimes they wont ship.
waiting for a fc and gps.I hope someone else joins in before i get too far

I like this build, I show it to people. I have to explain why it's low drag, but that's people who don't understand aero $h!T. I think it's great work, and I appreciate that you don't let your imagination hamstring you. I bet you can envision custom cowling that would do what you want, and these plastic parts are what you have to work with. I'm sure they do what you want, with a few consessions for the need to make it from materials you have. I hope she's crazy fast, and I hope the cowling stays put when you get it up to speed. PLEASE include video if you can!

Hi Jodie , thanks for the encouragement. I will get some dvr up when it does down or up .
I know I seem a little backward and my stuff looks crude but thats on purpose . Its about having a little fun and a joke.
I could quite easily spin up a alloy skin and 3d print all the parts i need but not many people have the 40 yrs of workshop exp and the actual workshop i have. Yes i have been working since 10yrs young.. Yes i do use the tools made of old motors and esc as seen in some pics they work quite well .i just hope i inspire someone.
Cant spell never could cant see the point .

AirbladeUAV has done it again and this time they've brought long range to the 5" class! Based on the popular Transformer Mini, the new Transformer 5" Ultralight adopts a lot of the same design philosophies with larger props and more payload capacity. It can fly upwards of 20 minutes on a 4 cell Li-Ion battery pack and in ideal conditions it's got a range of over 4 to 5 miles. In this guide I'll walk..

With the release of the DJI FPV Drone cinematic FPV has become a lot more accessible, but you certainly don't want to crash a $750 drone! The QAV-CINE Freybott is a compact, lightweight cinematic FPV drone that can take a hit and keep going. It's a lot safer to fly indoors and around people. With a naked GoPro or the SMO 4k you can capture some great stabilized footage. In this guide I'll show you..
