Goal with this build was to test out hydrographics on carbon fiber frame parts. It was hell covering up the beautiful carbon on the RS+ but it had to be done for science. I sprayed the frame parts with a Rustoleum fiberglass primer, then went to town. Smudged the graphics a bit, but covered it up with components. I used a couple coats of pour-on epoxy as a protective coating. I used conformal coating to cover up some spots I missed later rather than mix up more pour-on. The grommets were added after I ran into problems tightening the screws and having them break through the epoxy.
The second goal was to try out a gps unit now that I'm working with the awesome Hyperlite F4 which actually has enough UARTS for everything I need.
Third goal was to try out the Foxeer Mix. So far my impression is that the WDR analogue feed is not as good as the Predator I had on there to start with, but since I can't afford a GoPro after buying these parts, it will do for now. I'll update this with some flight video as soon as I have time to edit.
AirbladeUAV has done it again and this time they've brought long range to the 5" class! Based on the popular Transformer Mini, the new Transformer 5" Ultralight adopts a lot of the same design philosophies with larger props and more payload capacity. It can fly upwards of 20 minutes on a 4 cell Li-Ion battery pack and in ideal conditions it's got a range of over 4 to 5 miles. In this guide I'll walk..
Read moreWith the release of the DJI FPV Drone cinematic FPV has become a lot more accessible, but you certainly don't want to crash a $750 drone! The QAV-CINE Freybott is a compact, lightweight cinematic FPV drone that can take a hit and keep going. It's a lot safer to fly indoors and around people. With a naked GoPro or the SMO 4k you can capture some great stabilized footage. In this guide I'll show you..

I am new to this hobby/community and I am trying to use the same ReadyToFlyQuads Micro Ublox GPS, but can not get any data from it. I am having trouble interpreting your photos, did you connect the GPS TX to the UART TX, RX to RX or were they reversed as some guides suggest? Thanks!
I'll give you the full break down when I get home.
This is the guide I followed to a T: https://www.readytoflyquads.com/micro-ublox-m8n-gps-w-18x18x
Tx to Tx (White)
Rx to Rx (Green)
Thank you! I think I may have a dead GPS but will refer to this when another arrives.
