Just going for a super clean look... You can see the LEDs bright as day coming through the mesh. Came out pretty badass

I didnt want to put it on the bottom side of the top plate and have the strap go around it or on top or below the Unify. I had just been to my local hobby shop where Blake (NubbFPV from DRL) is the quad tech and he designed that printed box for his Super G+ so he could run a massive bottom mount battery for Long Range without it wobbling all over the place. I asked him if he could make it hollow and thr rest is history. But i guess mostly because my OCD wouldn't allow me to mount it in a non-clean way.

It clearly IS right below the unify.... perhaps you could get more distance between them, for less plastic weight with a different 3d printed part. I like it, and how clean it looks. It is a LOT of plastic, for not much distance though.

Sorry I meant like literally sitting on top or bottom of the Unify (touching it). The carbon in between acts as a heat sink. I'm sure a different part could've been utilized but he already had that designed and it works well. As for weight, its a high KV 5s build so a couple grams isn't going to make or break.

Love it so far. Buttery smooth and easy to build. The only "complaint" i have is the motor pads closest to the mounting gromets get coverwd ever so slightly by the grommets, no problems just a slight design flaw. Needs maybe two mm to clear but its really just and issue with my OCD haha

I don't. They were made custom by NubbFPV at my local Hobby Shop because I thought I had the 1000 size but they are the 680s so he had so shrink them a bit.
