Welcome to my Orange Crush Armattan Marmotte Dream Build!! After recently building a 6" Chameleon and loving it I just had to build a Marmotte. A big thanks is owed to GetFPV.com and it being Xilo Month with 10% off!!! This is by far the highest end build spec I have put together and I'm extreamly pleased with the quality and fit and finish of everything.
So here’s the build list!! Armattan Marmotte frame, Holybro F7 FC and Tekko32 stack, Rush Tank VTX, R-XSR Reciever, Umagrip Battery Pad, Run Cam Micro Eagle Lumenier Edition camera, 3d printed parts from Brain 3D and the star of the show the Lumenier Joshua Bardwell 2407 1750kv motors. I am a complete Joshua Bardwell fanboy so I think I am most excited to try the motors! Also as you can tell by the 1750kv motors I am going 6s. I picked up the new 3b 2408 1900kv training motors for the Chameleon and a couple 6s packs and I’m hooked.
I normally am so excited to get a new build in the air that I quickly build it and then spend another 2 to 3 weeks tweaking the placement of components and cable routing. With this build I didn't want tp do that so I really took my time to plan everything out the way I wanted from the start. It took 5 days but now that it is done I can't be happier with how it came out!! I only have a couple flights on it so far but I am so happy with how it flies. It's so stable and the motors are increadibly smooth and powerfull.
I have to give a big thank you to everyone who made this build possible.

And for all his help with his videos and personal help and of course designing the motors Joshua Bardwell!!
Thank you for viewing my build I hope you enjoy it, I know I enjoyed building it!!
So I have an update to my build. The second day of flying I crashed and broke the frame. I know there is a lot out there on the Marmotte frames about them being weak but that was not the case here. Luckily the guys at Armattan were amazing about getting the new main plate to me and 4 days later I was back in the air!! While I had it apart I also changed the braided sleeving from the cheap stuff I got on Amazon to the Flexo Tight Weave tubing from wirecare.com (which I found after seeing it on a build on this awesome site!!!!!). I am really happy with the new tubing it's SSSSOOO much nicer then the other pet tubing I was using before. I also picked up orange zip ties and heat shrink tubing from them. They have everything a quad builder could want!!!
I also got the Brain3d.com SMA/Antenna mount that I had originally planned for this build. There was an issue when I ordered it and I received the y antenna/sma mount instead of the verticle L/SMA mount I wanted. The guys at Brain3d.com were amazing in helping me to get the correct mount and I am very pleased with end result. I also just purchased the Marmotte rearv standoffs and another Verticle L/SMA mount from Brain3d and I am going to mount it on my 6" Chameleon!
Another thing I wanted to mention that I forgot in my original post was I really like the layout on the Holybro F7 FC. I really hate through holes and would prefer pads, but the layout of the board is much better than the F4 FC that I used on aonther build.
Anyway thank you again for viewing my build!!!
Another big thank you to GetFPV.com, Holybro, Joshua Bardwell and a huge thank you to the guys at Amattan and Brain3d.com.
Is that a GetFPV heat sink? You chose a nice way to go about your Marmotte. It's impressive.
AirbladeUAV has done it again and this time they've brought long range to the 5" class! Based on the popular Transformer Mini, the new Transformer 5" Ultralight adopts a lot of the same design philosophies with larger props and more payload capacity. It can fly upwards of 20 minutes on a 4 cell Li-Ion battery pack and in ideal conditions it's got a range of over 4 to 5 miles. In this guide I'll walk..
Read moreWith the release of the DJI FPV Drone cinematic FPV has become a lot more accessible, but you certainly don't want to crash a $750 drone! The QAV-CINE Freybott is a compact, lightweight cinematic FPV drone that can take a hit and keep going. It's a lot safer to fly indoors and around people. With a naked GoPro or the SMO 4k you can capture some great stabilized footage. In this guide I'll show you..

Absolutely Love this build, the attention to detail in the orange washers on the underside complete it. I'm doing pretty much the same with a few minor changes. What mount did you use for the VTX? As I'm looking to fit with two screws in the main stack and two on the rear mount(ones you have used). Also how did you wire your VTX as I cant find any useful information on wiring anywhere.
I used a Brain3d.com mount https://www.brain3d.co/collections/hd-antenna-sets/products/hyperlite-evo-hd-vtx-tray?variant=31474749584
I had one I bought for another build and fit perfectly.
